CFFC supports Refugee Week with awareness lunch

As part of #RefugeeWeek (16th – 22nd June 2025), some of the CFFC team participated in a team lunch in support of refugees and asylum seekers.

In partnership with Calderdale Valley of Sanctuary, Leila’s Kitchen in Hebden Bridge supplied a #RefugeeWeek themed lunch, accompanied by a awareness-raising quiz and link to a specially curated Spotify playlist.

30% of the proceeds were in support of Together We Grow, a charity focused on promoting the social and emotional wellbeing of asylum seekers and refugees in our area.

The lunch, consisting of deliciously fresh and tasty Dolmehs (Persian-style stuffed grapevine leaves) and hearty salad, with flatbreads and houmous, was a big hit amongst the team.
