Our Impact

Creating opportunity for all

Since our incorporation in 1991, Community Foundation for Calderdale have distributed over £30 million in grants, positively impacting the lives of thousands of people locally.

Our work doesn’t stop at distributing grants and loans. Our expertise, local knowledge and specialist experience in our sector has helped community projects develop and thrive for almost 30 years.

We help local people do extraordinary things to help each other and help themselves.

We partner with multiple local charities and small voluntary led organisations to co-create change that matters. Our community leadership approach creates unique solutions that foster growth, connections and sustainable change. Aligning and leveraging resources allows us to strengthen our community for the long term.

We bring stakeholders together who share a passionate vision for progress and facilitate solutions. We see the bigger picture and make change happen.

I just wanted to provide feedback regarding the Grant that the Next Step Trust received earlier in 2020. We were advised from CFFC to apply for a Grant in order to support us in the initial phase of thepandemic. We continued supporting the individuals that critically needed our support, infection control and more specifically PPE was invaluable to keeping our Next Steppers and staff safe. CFFC awarded us a Grant of £6,000 which enabled us to buy PPE and maintain particularly high standards of cleanliness across our sites and vehicles.  We would like to extend a huge thank you to CFFC for their continued support of our Trust.
