About Us

The Community Foundation for Calderdale (CFFC) is a not-for-profit organisation devoted to supporting the hundreds of charities and voluntary groups across the borough. Our goal is to address inequalities and work alongside voluntary organisations and charities to create opportunities and help those most in need.

We are part of a national network of UK Community Foundations (UKCF), and work to distribute grants and loans, as well as sharing our local community expertise.

Our goal is to act as a catalyst for positive change in the region, helping to kickstart or support life changing groups and projects. CFFC is supported by the amazing generosity of individuals, businesses and public sector organisations who donate to us, so we can either distribute grants immediately, or invest in endowed funds to support charity activity in perpetuity.

We’ve distributed over £34 million worth of grants since 1991, enabling positive change in the lives of thousands of people across Calderdale.
