Community Spirit is Alive and Well at Our November CFFC Membership Event
There was a real buzz of community spirit in the air at our November CFFC Membership Event, held at the atmospheric Fielden Hall in Todmorden. It was an afternoon filled with inspiration, tea and biscuits and passionate conversations about how we can make Calderdale an even better place to live.
We heard from Calder Valley Community Land Trust, who shared their vision for creating even more affordable community housing and how local people can get involved by buying community shares. Their story showed just how much can be achieved when residents come together to take action. You can watch their powerful video here:
We were also inspired by Newground Together, who gave us an insight into their fantastic youth hubs and the opportunities they’re creating for young people across Calderdale. From offering career talks and interview practice to apprenticeships, taster training, and work placements, there are so many ways local businesses can get involved. Events like this remind us why being part of the CFFC community matters, it’s about connecting, learning, and taking action together to build a stronger Calderdale.
