Not-for-profit organisations invited to apply for grants of up to £5,000
At the beginning of August we opened up our General Grants Round and invited eligible Voluntary Sector organisations to apply for up to £5,000 of funding.
This fund is made up of CFFC funds and the Full Circle Funerals Fund.
We are particularly looking for grant applications which contribute to our strategic priorities which are:
- Homelessness and Housing
- Poverty and Disadvantage
- Mental Health and Wellbeing
- Community Cohesion.
As we come out of lockdown, this general grants round will be appealing for people wanting to trial new projects to make a difference to our community.
Steve Duncan, CEO of the Community Foundation for Calderdale explained, “Listening to what is happening on the ground, there is a large demand for funding and we anticipate that this grant will be very popular and we will receive a lot of applications. We are glad that we are in a position where we can match generous donors to help get the money where it is needed most so that Not For Profit organisations can re-establish themselves and recover to deliver vital work helping our community.”
Sarah Jones, founder of Full Circle Funerals in Crossley Hill, said: “Communities everywhere are going to need extra help as we emerge from the pandemic.
“We invite groups to get in touch with the Community Foundation to apply for the financial support they need to put their plans and ideas into action so that we can rebuild together.”
