Happy Yorkshire Day!

Eeh by gum, tha’s celebrating Yorkshire Day on August the 1^st,

We’re so proud wer from Yorkshire, tha’ could almost burst!

We’re the team from the Community Foundation from Calderdale,

Giving out grants to charities and not for profits up ‘ill and down dale,

We’ve given out over £1m of grants so far this year, (nah that’s a lot of brass),

We’re funding projects which help others in our community which are first class,

Citizens Advice, The Women’s Centre, Healthy Minds, food banks, to name a few

Chances are you will know someone who has benefited, a customer, a colleague, friends and family, or maybe even you.

From homelessness and debt, to addition, mental health, and creating better opportunity,

Reducing isolation and improving lives we want to bring people together in unity,

We’re funding healthy meals and activities for kids in t’ holidays on free school meals,

And cos there’s a climate emergency we’re about to launch a carbon zero fundraising appeal.

We connect people who care with causes that matter, it’s at the heart of what we do,

We couldn’t do it without our very kind and generous donors and we’d like to say thank you,

Whether you’ve donated to the flood appeal, bought a Watermark product, or £3 in the Woolshops through tap to donate,

Or set up a fund or left a legacy in your Will, we will match you to a cause to which you can relate.
