Calderdale Council and CFFC work together to get the resources ready for the Healthy Holidays Providers

As the school holidays get underway, we know it’s a very busy time of the year for Healthy Holidays Calderdale – a Council scheme, provided by Department for Education, that we offer administrative and other support to. 10,000 sessions have already been booked for this Summer holiday. Items like Fitbits, baseball caps, water bottles and healthy recipe books will be given out to providers for them to give out to children and families taking part. The boxes of resources needed to be moved to a central location so they could be prepared, ready for Healthy Holidays Providers to collect them.
Staff from CFFC joined forces with Calderdale Council to work together to prepare the resources and pack boxes ready for the 29 providers who will be covering 40 locations around Calderdale.
Rachel Burnett, CFFC Grant Programmes Co-ordinator commented, “We have worked really closely with Calderdale Council and formed good relationships so it’s lovely when our organisations get to meet in person and complete a task like this together as a team.”
Children can enjoy all kinds of activities, such as sports, drama sessions, gymnastics, rock-climbing, creative and craft activities and vocational skills workshops.
