CFFC welcome new Trustee and two new members of staff

It’s rare that we have a new member of staff as we are renowned for our staff staying with us for years, so to have two new members of staff in a short time is unheard of for us.

As we grow and are generating more income and giving out more grants than ever, we have needed to increase the resource in our Marketing and Development team and welcome Dean Bycroft as a full time Marketing officer. His design, photography, and video skills will be a brilliant addition to the team and many of you will have already been greeted by his friendly demeanour at our membership events.

After nearly 13 years we waved au revoir to Marta Lyskawa as Finance Assistant. Marta has a successful home staging business that has been winning Award after Award. Marta has decided to leave her part-time role at CFFC to concentrate on her business full time. We have welcomed Siobhan Collier who is the new Finance Assistant and will be working with Amanda Lawson in our Finance team. Siobhan has previously worked at Lloyds and combined with her love of excel and talent for being organised, is welcomed by the busy team.

After a number of years, Roger Moore has stepped down as Chair of the Board from CFFC. Roger has been at the helm guiding CFFC through a recession, the 2020 floods, the pandemic and lockdown, and our re-emergence increasing our income and battling the cost of living crisis. Roger will continue to serve as a Trustee on the Board.

Zohrah Zancudi is an existing trustee serving on our Board and has been appointed the new Chair.

Zohrah had taken early retirement from her role as Director of Public Services at Calderdale Council before taking on this role. Zohrah explained, “Having been a Trustee of the Community Foundation for Calderdale since 2019, it is a real privilege to be appointed as its Chair.

“Established in 1991, the Community Foundation brings together donations from individuals, businesses and public sector organisations, and then invests those resources, through grants and loans, back into the community. We’ve delivered over £30 million worth of grants on behalf of our donors and partners since this time, enabling positive change in the lives of thousands of people across Calderdale.

“I look forward to continuing to work with its CEO Steve Duncan, fellow trustees and staff, and to building upon the excellent work of my predecessor Roger Moore.”

Andrew Hawley has also been appointed as a Trustee and will serve on the Board.
