A Recipe for Success

Winners of the Business for Calderdale SME and Business of the Year 2024 very kindly hosted the March CFFC membership event at their site in Brighouse.

It was great to bring together a group of people who care. We highlighted ways in which charitable organizations are including sustainability in their everyday work whilst helping people in Calderdale.

MD of Eurostar Jason Bull shared their journey and what stood out most was how thoughtful and innovative they are in the way they are implementing their strategy. It’s clear that they aren’t just talking about sustainability, they embed it across every part of the business. Eurostar is taking a practical approach to sustainability by measuring and reducing emissions, investing in energy efficient technology, cutting waste, engaging its supply chain, and committing to Net Zero by 2050. Their work on projects like sustainably sourced rice in Thailand by supporting farmers with better practices, improved soil health, and fairer income shows a deep understanding of global responsibility and we are proud that they are based in Brighouse.

Our membership events are all about connection and collaboration so it was great to see so many people chatting over the delicious pizza that showcased the RISE RE:GEN flour. If you can’t bond with people over pizzas like you get in Italy, when can you?

A huge thank you again to everyone at Eurostar Commodities for hosting such a fantastic event for your generosity and to everyone who attended. Thank you for being part of a growing network of people who care about Calderdale and are taking action to make it a better place for people and the planet.

Below are some photos from the event capturing the brilliant conversations happening in the room.
