How Your Generosity Gave a Family Safe Journeys to School

We’d like to share a touching story with you about a family who had financial struggles and found themselves in the desperate situation where they couldn’t afford a pram for their baby and because of CFFC members, they were able to get help and were relieved to be able to take their children on the journey to school safely.

They needed a pram so Mum could push her baby whilst walking her other two children to school. Dad found a pram in a skip, and they started using that which was really helpful. 

One day as the Mum was crossing the road on the way to school, the pram collapsed with the baby in it. Strangers rushed over and helped her to scoop her baby and children up off the road and out of danger. Understandably, the Mum was shaken up and upset as she just wants to look after her children. 

Thanks to your support, we used donations from membership to give a grant to Mothershare, who promptly provided the family with a safe and reliable pram. The relief and gratitude expressed by the family serve as a poignant reminder of the tangible difference your generosity makes in people’s lives.

Mum said, “I can’t tell you the difference it has made knowing that we can relax knowing that we have got a good quality pram that won’t break. Taking the children to school can be difficult enough, so it’s one less thing to worry about. Thank you for helping us keep our children safe on the journey to school.”
