Calderdale is thriving with amazing people doing amazing things.

We’ve seen the positive influence you have on our community, the invaluable help and support being offered and the life-changing improvements to the people in Calderdale.

We couldn’t be more proud of our borough, and we want to highlight the exceptional work being done and share it with the world.

That’s why we created CalderMoments. A free-entry photo and video competition, open to all not-for-profit organisations in Calderdale, where we encourage you to submit those touching moments, exciting achievements, or that powerful message.

If you have captured these precious occasions in a photo or short video, let us celebrate your inspirational efforts, show everyone what you do, and reward your commitment to the people of Calderdale.

“We invite organisations to harness the power of visual storytelling to showcase their impact and inspire others, whether it’s a snapshot of a community event, a behind-the-scenes glimpse of a transformative project, or a heartfelt testimonial from those directly impacted, every submission has the potential to resonate and spark meaningful change.”

Judges Top Tips

Here are some helpful tips on what the judges will be looking for:

Capture people in a natural setting, doing what they do.

Having the light source (sunlight/window/lighting) behind the camera will result in more visible photos and videos.

We celebrate diversity and inclusivity. The judges would love to see these portrayed in your entries.

Think about what makes your organisation special and try to capture that.
