Hebden Bridge Big Green Weekend 29-31 May

The Big Green Weekend is back again this year and will be held in Hebden Bridge on Saturday May 29th, Sunday May 30th and Monday May 31st.

At this time of unprecedented focus on the economy and the environment, the Big Green Weekend is offering a wide array of speakers, ideas, workshops and exhibits to show ways that everyone from corporations to the individual can go green, and also to celebrate sustainability in the Upper Calder Valley.

Again this year, the Big Green weekend will highlight issues that have recently been in headlines and town halls across the nation - from climate solutions and green jobs to local food and fostering strong local communities.

Also featuring children's entertainment and events, music, crafts, local food and drink this is promising to be a fun filled, family friendly event for everyone to come out and enjoy.

This years Big Green Weekend is also proud to announce the launch of Transition Towns where people will be able to explore the Transition Zone and learn about plans to help Hebden Bridge towards a low-carbon future.

Come out and see what the local businesses have to offer, enjoy an organic beer and some locally sourced great food whilst browsing the many topical and interesting workshops, there is sure to be something for everyone!
